Brisbane Indoor Hockey League (BIHL) is a sub-committee of the Brisbane Hockey Association Inc (BHA) that was formed to co-ordinate and manage indoor hockey competitions for men, women & juniors. Brisbane has played indoor hockey since the mid 1980's at various loactions and under differing management.

Indoor hockey is a variation of field hockey with modified rules:

This allows participation for all players in a faster, more exciting and safer environment.

Indoor hockey is played during the field hockey off season. The Brisbane Indoor Hockey League (BIHL) commences in early October and continues through to the end of February with a break for Christmas. The BIHL competitions are played in the Indoor Sports Hall of the Kedron State High School, 34 Park Road, Wooloowin, Qld.

• Team Nominations have closed.

Team Nominations closed yesterday with 140 received being 10 in excess of last season, Monday night divisions overscribed and options being assessed / determined - stay tuned. Team nominations split is Men 24 (-1) Women 40 (+7) and Juniors 76 (+4). Outcomes of sorting / grading is expected by Wednesday 26th - team contact to be emailed.

• Junior Indoor Skills Session

BIHL has scheduled two (2) indoor hockey skills sessions targeted at juniors aged 7 to 12 years old.
