Brisbane Indoor Hockey League (BIHL) is a sub-committee of the Brisbane Hockey Association Inc (BHA) that was formed to co-ordinate and manage indoor hockey competitions for men, women & juniors. Brisbane has played indoor hockey since the mid 1980's at various loactions and under differing management.

Indoor hockey is a variation of field hockey with modified rules:

This allows participation for all players in a faster, more exciting and safer environment.

Indoor hockey is played during the field hockey off season. The Brisbane Indoor Hockey League (BIHL) commences in early October and continues through to the end of February with a break for Christmas. The BIHL competitions are played in the Indoor Sports Hall of the Kedron State High School, Park Road, Wooloowin, Qld.

• Indoor Level 1 Coaching Acreditation

Hockey Ed Level 1 Coach Accredition course for indoor is planned for Saturday 29th October 2016 in association with BIHL hosting the Under 18 & Open State Invitiaional. The course is aimed at those parents / people who run indoor teams but may lack indoor experience. Mike Evans (BHA RCD) will facilitate the course with supporting expert coaches.
